We are in need of volunteers for the 90th ARBA Convention. If you would like to volunteer in any capacity please contact the individual listed below.
SETUP - Please contact Ruth-Ann Bell at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information on volunteering in this area. Here is a tentative schedule unloading and setup schedule:
Friday October 11 ?8am Mark floors (small team needed)
Sunday October 13 ?7am Unload trucks, organize, and stage equipment outside (small team needed)
Monday October 14
o 6am Stage equipment inside;
o 9am ?9pm: Setup cooping
Tues October 15 ?8am ?10pm Finish cooping setup, place shavings, attach coop cards
Wed October 16 - Finish shavings & coop cards, quality check, Setup judging tables
Thurs October 17 ?Final quality check, judging tables
Fri October 18 - Judging tables and final setup details
Tuesday October 22 - Judging tables and non-essential equipment
Wednesday October 23 - All cooping and remainder of equipment
Thursday October 24 - Finish teardown & load trucks
Friday October 25 - Back-up truck loading day
CHECK IN - Please contact Lori Jo Whitehaus at email@example.com for more information on volunteering in this area. For a national convention, this means ensuring a smooth check in for all exhibitors. Volunteers are needed two days before check in to stuff packets. When the Registration Booth is open for check in, it will stay open around the clock until the deadline to have all rabbits checked in. That means we need volunteers to be staffing the booth continuously from Thursday afternoon through Saturday evening.
Thursday, October 17th from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM is a critical time. We really need about 15-20 people then to stuff the 2,000+ registration packets.
Saturday, October 19th from 8:00 PM - Midnight (or later) is a crazy time. We really need about 15 people then to tear apart the comment cards and put them with the control sheets for the Show.
Tuesday, October 22nd at around 6:00 PM we need help cutting and stuffing all of the "legs" into the packets.
Tuesday, October 22nd at around 8:00 PM - Midnight (or sooner, if we have a lot of people), we will stuff all of the results and ribbons into the packets.
SECRETARY'S BOOTH - Please contact Lori Jo Whitehaus at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information on volunteering in this area. During the convention, a team of about 25 volunteers is needed to staff the booth with the majority of the work beginning on Monday morning. At that point, we will be preparing for check out and will again work around the clock to have all packets ready for exhibitors to take home on Wednesday morning. All of the computer data is handled by a vendor so you don't need to know any particular show program. Again, Lori Jo and Tori are coordinating this area.

YOUTH CONTEST ANIMALS - Please contact Gerry Vaerewyck at email@example.com for more information on volunteering in this area. You can register these animals at https://secure.netsolhost.com/vere.com/html1/arba2013.html. Approximately 300-400 rabbits and cavies are needed for the Youth Contests. These animals arrive and leave with the same rules as those that are entered in the show. There is separate cooping for the contest animals. Some are needed for Breed Identification contests and others are needed for the Judging Contests. Gerry Vaerewyck is collecting a list of animals for these contests.
